Another area of interest includes analyses of educational and societal power, inequality, and difference structures, both on a theoretical and historical-empirical level.

Mathilde Vaerting’s (educational) contribution to critiques of power and domination during the Weimar Republic:
In various article projects, I am exploring questions concerning critiques of power and domination in the works of Mathilde Vaerting (1884–1977). Vaerting was an educator, sociologist, and, starting in 1923, the first German female professor of pedagogy. My engagement with her work (also in collaboration with colleagues, including Susann Hofbauer and Eik Gädeke) focuses on her (educational) writings, which offer an intersectional analysis of society and have received little attention in (educational science) research to date.
